I caught a big carp on the pole just recently and had trouble getting it into my spoon net. It was exciting, but I think it's fair to say that you should use a bigger net if there is ANY chance of big fish.

I love catching big tench no1 fish in the world lol a tench was my 1st fish when I was 8 years old on a 5ft Shakespeare fibre glass rod out of the canal it was any 1lb but to me it was a monster since then I've managed to catch 3 over 7lb with my best being 7lb 12oz also out the canal

I used to use something similar I used a cat meat slop then finished a bit of meat on the hook. I had 220 and at lake nine at the glebe

That was so funny. It must of cost a fortune in bait. Plus do it all again next time!! Until the penny dropped some years later.

Brilliant...there is nothing like a few BIG bream and a big tench, grass carp is a nice bonus. Reminds me of fishing gravel pits as a kid. Getting there at 4am, mist everywhere, excited as hell, fumbling to get a waggler set up with tench bubbling away by the lily pads . Good stuff. I think this was the best video so far.
